Remember when Mitsubishi tried to partner with Nissan to build the next Lancer and Galant on a platform shared with Nissan?
In case you don’t remember:

It looks like Nissan-Renault’s buy in of Mitsubishi will result in Mitsubishi building a new Lancer on a shared Nissan-Renault platform.

Three years late and 1 car down. Maybe a new Galant will eventually be created. And, maybe we will atleast see a Ralliart version of the future Lancer.

Either one of two things will happen to Mitsubishi in the next 10 years -
1) Pull out of the US completely, or mostly
2) Partner up with the big dogs (merger), or be bought by one of them.
I don’t see how they can really survive otherwise. Though they aren’t quite where Suzuki was when they pulled out of the US, yet.

Yeah, I agree. Still, the thought of some GT-R parts falling into a Lancer tickles the brain...

I really wish they’d had the resources to produce the ZT concept from 2007. That was a beautiful car.

Almost surprised they aren’t making Altima derivatives already.

I strongly agree.
